Custom AI Tools for Marketing and Creative Agencies
Yellow House Digital builds custom AI tools for marketing and creative agencies. It is the studio of Jordi Buskermolen, who co-founded and ran a thirty-person agency for twelve years before building AI tools full time. The work is remote, with a UK and European client base.
What gets built
The tools are specific, not generic AI features bolted onto a dashboard. Recent work includes MCP servers that let AI assistants use a product's own data safely, lead-screening tools that read and rank inbound enquiries, and research instruments that gather and structure what a team would otherwise trawl by hand.
Some agencies want a tool. Some want a website or an application with AI built into it from the start. Both are the same job here: understand the workflow first, then build the smallest thing that changes it.
The shapes the work takes
Most builds fall into one of five shapes.
- 01Lead screening - a tool that reads inbound enquiries and scores them against your own fit criteria, so the right ones get attention first.
- 02Research instruments - tools that gather and structure what a team would otherwise trawl by hand, on a schedule, with the results stored and comparable.
- 03MCP servers and the APIs underneath - the layer that lets AI assistants use your product's data and actions safely. Detailed on its own page.
- 04Internal automations - the repetitive drag between systems, removed. Only where a human checking the output still makes sense.
- 05Websites and applications with AI built in - built from the start to be readable by machines and useful to humans.
Built by someone who ran an agency
Yellow House Digital is run by Jordi Buskermolen, who co-founded and ran This Page Amsterdam, a thirty-person digital agency, from 2009 to 2021. The tools are shaped by having sat on the other side of the table - knowing how agency work is won, scoped, and delivered, and where the repetitive drag actually lives.
That background is why the writing on this site spends as much time on how agencies operate as on the technology.
Methods published in the open
Every method is published - papers, playbooks, and working tools an agency can read before committing. There are no gates and no email walls. An agency can judge the work first, which is the point.
Papers, playbooks, the audits, and the working tools themselves - readable before a first call, so the judging can happen before the buying.
The Writing section holds all of it, in full.
How an engagement starts
Three steps, before any building begins.
- 01A short conversation - about the workflow you want to improve.
- 02A one-page plan - scope, what gets built first, and next steps - before any building begins.
- 03The smallest build that changes the workflow - you see it working before anything grows.
Questions
Custom AI tools - MCP servers, lead-screening tools, research instruments - and websites and applications with AI built in. The starting point is always the agency's own workflow, not a generic template.
